Intermediate Quality Assurance Analyst

Responsible for conducting quality assurance procedures to ensure that developed software solutions meet the product requirements. The Intermediate Quality assurance analyst ensures that applications tested for functionalities, security, usability, durability, performance, reliability, and stability.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the product owner, and the development team in order to understand product requirements, identify quality related issues, and mitigate risks.
  • Create test plans.
  • Design and develop test cases, test scenarios, and test procedures and scripts.
  • Conduct security testing, regression testing, negative testing, black/white/grey testing, exploratory testing, risk based testing, load/stress/performance testing, and usability testing.
  • Document software defects in bug tracking system, and report defects to the team.
  • Create and maintain tests environments.
  • Plan test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope and delivery dates.
  • Review software documentation to ensure technical accuracy, compliance, and completeness.

 

Required Skills:

  • 3+ years’ experience in developing and testing software solutions (web, mobile, and desktop).
  • Knowledge of the principles, practices and procedures of quality assurance testing and the ability to apply knowledge and skills to analyze and resolve complex issues.
  • Ability to independently analyze extensive data, identify discrepancies and inconsistencies and recommend a course of corrective action
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Ability to design, write, test and document efficient testing solutions to meet customer needs
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile, and team–oriented work environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills (English)
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and demonstrate initiative and good judgment
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with a wide variety of individuals
  • Clear communicator (written and verbal) – to ensure ability to write test plans and test cases. To communicate bugs to developers and other stakeholders
  • Ability to focus on deadlines and deliverables

 

Education:

BS Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Computer Engineering
