Senior DevOps Engineer

The Senior DevOps Engineer is a member of the team which builds PAR’s (PARTech, Inc.) Platform as a Service (PaaS) for its Food Safety and Point of Sale product lines. The PaaS will use automation to reduce costs, labor, and time to market while maintaining a high level of quality and consistency. The Senior DevOps Engineer will exemplify PAR’s values of People, Awareness, Authenticity, Dreaming, and Perseverance and help build and shape the team to do the same.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Architect, design and develop Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CICD) for current and new software reducing Time-To-Market (TTM) and deployment time
  • Collaborate and work closely with all engineering teams to build, maintain, troubleshoot, deploy and host Current and NextGen software to internal and Cloud infrastructure
  • Assist development with merging, branching, and staging releases
  • Maintain and monitor internal cloud enterprise environments
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code (IaC)
  • Review Development designs for impact to DevOps infrastructure
  • Mentor DevOps engineers and provide guidance on their daily tasks

 

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Highly effective oral and written communication, the ability to work in a team environment, accepting guidance, collaborate with others.
  • Strong understanding and experience of Builds and Source Control using tools such as TFS and GIT
  • Experience using Amazon Web Services and/or Microsoft Azure
  • Expert in configuring, maintaining and troubleshooting issues in build and deployment
  • Continuous Integration (CI) using TFS build for MSBuild, XAML, Task Agent and Pools
  • TFS Release Manager
  • Deployment unit testing
  • Docker, Docker containers, Docker hub, Docker Swarm
  • Expert level PowerShell scripting
  • Experience with enterprise databases, MS SQL Server or MongoDB
  • Linux, Windows, ability to configure, setup, troubleshoot and best practices for deployment
  • Ability to debug build issues in .Net, XAML, SQL, Scripts, PowerShell, Docker, Linux and Windows
  • Build native Android and iOS applications
  • Experience working in fast paced Agile development methodology
  • Experience working on multiple versions, releases and products at the same time.
  • Commitment to best practices for development and operation
